"Zhigong Experience – Hotspring Hotel Qingcheng Mountain (China)"
Following the success of our 2025 and 2026 Zhigong Experience, we are excited to offer this unique summer Qigong retreat in the sacred Qingcheng Mountains, near Chengdu for the third time.
A Sacred Setting
The Qingcheng Mountains are renowned for their lush greenery, dense forests, and cascading waterfalls. This spiritual site is where philosopher Zhang Daoling laid the foundations of Taoism in 142 CE, and its temples played a key role in spreading Taoist teachings during the Jin and Tang dynasties. Together with the nearby Dujiangyan Irrigation System—an ancient, still-functioning marvel built in 256 BCE—the area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering breathtaking scenery and a serene atmosphere perfect for meditation and self-reflection.
Your Accommodation
Stay at a tranquil Hot Spring Hotel in the mountain, combining modern comfort with the restorative power of natural mineral-rich hot springs. These springs are traditionally valued in Chinese culture for relieving stress, improving circulation, and relaxing muscles—ideal after your daily Qigong practice. The hotel is surrounded by walking trails, historic temples, and a small monastery where you can sit quietly in the garden, absorbing the sacred energy of the area.
Daily Qigong & Exploration
Immerse yourself in Zhineng Qigong with expert guidance, while also enjoying optional hikes through the mountain trails. The hikes offer stunning views and a chance to connect with nature, though they require a moderate level of fitness due to stairs, elevation changes, and uneven terrain.
Meals & Nourishment
Three fresh, warm meals are served daily, inspired by authentic Sichuan cuisine and prepared according to the principles of Yangsheng, the Chinese philosophy of “nourishing life.” Expect light soups, steamed vegetables, whole grains, and seasonal dishes that restore balance to your body, strengthen your organs, and support your Qi (life energy). Here, food is more than nourishment—it is part of your holistic practice.
A Journey for Body, Mind & Spirit
This retreat is designed for those who are physically fit, enjoy daily movement, and are open to deepening their practice on a physical, energetic, and spiritual level. Experience the perfect balance of intensive Qigong, mindful reflection, and the natural serenity of one of China’s most sacred mountains.

Testimonial
A Journey of Deepening and Connection: It was a very special experience to travel to such a distant place with a group and deepen our practice of Qigong together. And that deepening is exactly what I experienced. The most beautiful part was being able to practise Zhineng Qigong every day. This brought a sense of depth, trust and connection to the practice. Combined with the nature and beautiful surroundings of Qingcheng Mountain, it made the journey truly unforgettable. It was wonderful to witness how the group grew throughout the journey. The highlight was the final day, when we could really feel the deep connection within the group. During those two and a half weeks, we had not only grown individually, but also grown closer to one another. A beautiful and profound experience. Thank you, Anne, for making this journey possible. Upon arrival at Chengdu Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel in about an hour and a half. On days 2, 3, and 4, you will participate in daily Zhineng Qigong sessions. Day 5 is dedicated to exploring the Qingcheng Mountains, with hikes through beautiful nature and visits to Taoist temples. On days 6, 7, 8, and 9, the Qigong program continues with intensive practice sessions and time for integration. On day 10, we embark on an excursion to an authentic ancient village and the famous panda reserve. Days 11, 12, and 13 are again devoted to Qigong practice, silence, and personal reflection.
During the retreat, you will be guided by two experienced instructors who work with Dr. Pang Ming’s Zhineng Qigong system. The program consists of carefully selected exercises from this system, aimed at strengthening body and mind, stimulating the flow of energy, and promoting inner balance.
The sessions are adapted to the experience, needs, and energy levels of the group, allowing everyone to participate and deepen their practice at their own pace. In addition to physical exercises, the instructors use healing methods that support the body’s self-healing ability and enhance the energy experience.
The exercises include movement, stillness, and visualization, providing an integrated approach to health and well-being. This allows for growth both physically and energetically while also fostering mental calm and clarity.
The result is a dynamic and personalized process, with the program flexibly tailored to what the group needs at any given moment.
